I have had my CHI for 2.5 years now. Every so chi flat ironoften it would start popping in the electric outlet and the red light would flicker. Now today it started popping and then the outlet started SMOKING. I'm lucky I didn't get ELECTROCUTED or start a fire. Needless to say, I'm sitting home waiting for an electrician to come repair the outlet.The CHI always got my hair super straight and soft and was very easy to use. The CHI would be fantastic if only it wasn't so DANGEROUS.Now that I need to replace it, I'm going with a Solia. I've had this straightener for about two years. after the first year it stopped working. COMPLETELY! i wouldnt turn on or anything! so then i had to mail to texas so i can i get a brand new one. after a week or so they mailed me a brand new one. and that was a year ago and i am still using the same one. dont get me wrong it works good and everything but i dont really like the way my hair comes out. so i think its time for me to upgrade.
